For dance studios

Dance studio software, to run your studio with less admin.

Class scheduling, a booking widget for the website you already have, and payments into your own Stripe account — in one place, mobile-first.

Shaped by Ava Flynn, a professional dancer, and built by Craig Mackles, a working artist from New Orleans — so it works the way studios actually run, from ballet barres to breaking cyphers.

01 / Scheduling

Dance studio scheduling software that runs on autopilot.

Set your studio hours, instructor and room availability, and recurring class patterns once — Atelier Studio handles the timetable from there. It supports two schedule types out of the box: capacity-based group classes with seat counts, and resource-based scheduling for privates and semi-privates that follows instructor and room availability. Term-based recurring classes run side by side with weekly drop-ins, so one calendar covers the whole school.

  • Capacity-based group classes with seat counts, and resource-based scheduling for privates and semi-privates
  • Term-based recurring classes alongside weekly drop-ins
  • Per-instructor and per-room availability
  • Intelligent automated scheduling on every plan
  • Automated waitlists on Standard and Premium — the next dancer in line auto-books and auto-pays

02 / Booking widget

A dance class booking widget that lives on your existing site.

Don't rebuild your website to take registrations. Atelier Studio ships a copy-and-paste dance class booking widget — a single script tag that drops into any site you already have, anywhere you can paste a script. Your design stays; the widget handles class lists, sign-ups, and waitlists, and it's themable from your account so it inherits your look. One line of install, no plugin to maintain, no migration of your front end.

  • One-line install — a single universal <script> tag
  • Works on static HTML, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, or anywhere scripts run
  • Themable from your account to match your brand
  • Handles class lists, sign-ups, and waitlists in place
  • Mobile-first by default

03 / Payments

Online payments with predictable, low fees.

Dance studio margins are thin — your software shouldn't take more than its share. Every plan processes payments into your own Stripe account, never ours, and lets you record cash and other offline payments alongside online ones. On Standard and Premium, card, debit, and ACH run through your Stripe account, and our fee is 0.75% per checkout, capped at $2 — per checkout, not per item. Standard Stripe processing fees apply separately. Your subscription rate is grandfathered and locked the day you join.

  • Payments into your own Stripe account on every plan — we never hold your money
  • Card, debit, and ACH via your own Stripe account (Standard and Premium)
  • 0.75% per checkout, capped at $2, on Standard and Premium (Stripe's fees apply separately)
  • Class packs and memberships for recurring revenue (Standard and above)
  • Offline payment recording for cash and other collection — every plan

Built for every kind of dance

Ballet, breaking, contemporary, and every small studio.

The mechanics of running a studio are the same whether you teach pointe or power-moves. Atelier Studio doesn't make you choose a style — and it's priced for small studios.

Common questions

Dance studio software FAQ

What software do you need to run a dance studio?

To run a dance studio you need class scheduling, a way for dancers to book and pay online, and waitlist handling — ideally in one place. Atelier Studio™ covers it: intelligent automated scheduling for group classes and privates on every plan, an embeddable booking widget for your existing website, and payments through your own Stripe account. Automated waitlists and online card, debit, and ACH come in on Standard and Premium. It's mobile-first, so the experience is built for the phone first.

Is Atelier Studio good dance studio software for small studios?

Yes. Pricing is built for small studios: the Starter plan includes 100 active students, with overage at just $0.25 per student, and Standard and Premium offer unlimited students. An 'active student' is anyone who, in a given month, signs a waiver, signs up for a class, pays for a class, or joins a waitlist — and the counter resets monthly. Whatever plan you choose, the rate you sign up at is grandfathered and locked for the life of that subscription.

Does it work for ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary studios?

Yes. The same scheduling, booking, and payment tools fit every style. Ballet and pre-pro studios use leveled placements and term-based recurring classes; hip-hop and breaking studios run open sessions, crew bookings, and drop-ins; contemporary and jazz studios run workshop intensives and master classes. One calendar holds group classes, privates, term-based classes, and drop-ins side by side.

Can I add the dance class booking widget to my current website?

Yes — that's the whole point. The booking widget is a single universal script tag you paste into any site you already have, including static HTML, Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress. There's no plugin to maintain and no front-end migration. The widget is themable from your account, so it inherits your brand, and it's mobile-first by default.

What are the payment fees, and who holds the money?

Every plan processes payments into your own Stripe account — we never hold the money — and lets you record cash and other offline payments too. On Standard and Premium, online card, debit, and ACH run through your Stripe account, and Atelier Studio™ charges 0.75% per checkout, capped at $2 — per checkout, not per item. Stripe's standard processing fees apply separately at their published rates.

How does signing up work — does the trial start right away?

No. When you sign up, Craig reaches out personally to learn about your studio and help with setup, and you enter Setup Mode for up to 30 days — configure, import your data, and explore with no trial clock running. You click Launch Studio when you're ready, and that's when the 14-day free trial begins. Setup Mode is free and permanent, and no card is required to start.
